Hi! With all of the sad happenings on the Chances forum in the last few days, I wanted to post a happy one with an update and pictures of Peter and Hershey. Peter is so awesome! I am convinced that he is a draft horse stuck in a tiny horses body...lol I love this first picture because Peter's looking at his HUGE shadow and he probably thinks he's that big. He is mighty but at the same time, so sweet and loving. He is leading great and does pretty good at keeping the Santa hat on (my avatar).

Then there's Hershey, my foster mini. He has been somewhat of a challenge. His owner tried to kill him with kindness I believe by overfeeding him and never really teaching him any manners. So I am trying to teach him to lead without being bribed, teach him how to respect and not be scared of humans. He has made a great deal of improvement but we still have a long way to go with him. He is a gorgeous horse and I do believe that he will make someone a great pet one day!

I hope you enjoy the pictures! Shannon

Thanks for sharing! Nice to see a sunny photo!

The colourful rays & Peter's shadow are wonderful.

I think I even spotted a donkey

: or two in one of the backgrounds?

Nice critters!

love that shadow picture.

: i have a dog with that size and attitude! he grew up with a great dane and a mutt that's almost as big as the great dane, and he thinks he's that big too! :bgrin

people are always surprised when i tell them that the most common form of abuse for minis is OVERfeeding... somehow they always picture an abused animal as starved and don't realize how much damage can be done by being "too nice".

looks like you are doing a great job with both of them and that last picture of Peter Pan is just adorable too!

i see donkeys too!

Nice to see a sunny photo!
Sandy any time you need sunshine just ask and I can probably send you some!!

Yes that's Maggie and Cotton checking things out from afar. I was going to mention them when I first posted but I didn't. I knew my donkey buddies would notice them...lol

Shannon. Thank you!! Both boys look great! :bgrin :bgrin This is what it is all about, "happy

healthy mini's". You are doing wonderfully with both of them. Hershey looks as tho he has lost some of

the extra weight. There is a beautiful boy in there :aktion033: :aktion033: .....

Gini,

He has lost a little weight although it's hard to tell with his winter woolies on. I think he still has a ways to go in that department. He's getting a lot of exercise and very few treats...lol He is still painfully shy but we are making progress everyday. I'll keep you posted on him! Shannon
