Pls Prayer for Cashmere

I don't know what is wrong. She was acting a little off yesterday. But eating, and drinking.

I put her feed out. I kept her under camera last night. She always sleeps laying down. She

stayed on her feet all night. But this morning is another story. She is stumbling and fell down.

I can't get her up yet. She is beyond Exhausted. She is laying. Not rolling, temp is 101.1.

Gave her some Banamine, gave last night too. She is the mare who was over dosed on Bute years

ago by her previous owner. She was founder. She abbssed in front hoofs in Dec. Got over it.

Hoof's look good. She has arthrist bad in front legs.

Over Winter - hair was longer and matted bad. I got her dematted and short hair. Her hair

is longer again, and rematted. I needed to clip her, but was waiting to give her a time. She was

having bad time with front legs. I kept her under fan's. So I don't know. Oh her hair grew out in

record times too. I just got her short and dematted again in June. So what is going on with her.

I am trying to reach my Vet.

I know you are NOT Vets, don't care, any ideals Please.... You are good horse people. I will be taking her

to Vet, but any ideal's in the mean time.

Please

Vicky

going to Vets office. Dad is on his home with Truck so I can go. He is over an hour way

of course with work. But coming home.

Oh Vicky, I am sorry I cannot help, but am sending prayers for Cashmere. I sure hope the vet gets there fast and finds out what is wrong so she can start healing. Good Luck, and update when you can.

I HATE it when our babies aren't feeling well! Good luck at the vet and I hope Cashmere makes a full recovery! Prayers to you and her

: I hope you get to the root of the issue ASAP.

From the symptoms you describe Im also thinking advanced Cushings. Causes excessive hair growth quickly and other things you described.

I also am thinking the same thing with what you are describing

Thank You for your Prayers from the bottom of my heart. We lost our baby this Morning, at

the Vet's office. She had a bad stroke.

She has crossed the bridge to Heaven's beautiful gates and to God's loving

arms. She will be with her daughter Destiny now, till I am with them. I will miss this Grand Mare.

She was the light of my life 15 incredible years. Even though we have fought hard for her over

the years.

This is the mare who was over dosed on Bute, which caused damage beyond words. Founder,

and lost her upper lip to the over does on bute. Cashmere fought hard and long to live. She

had many incredible happy years with me. She had now lost all of her upper teeth. But she

was still eating and doing good till about a month ago. Her pain level went up, and she require more

banamine. She had arthritis in both front legs. But she always had a smile for me. She loved

being brushed and hugs. She loved her smarties candy. She had her candy last night with her

dinner. She did grow a really thick winter coat this last winter. And it would matt so. I got it all off.

But she started re-growing it. I thought it was strange. We are in Summer. I was getting ready to

re-clip her. But waiting for her to have a good day. Only it never came. Yesterday she was out in her

in her pen and ate a little grass. Then came back to her stall. I had 2 fan's for her, and kept them on

all the time. She had a nice stall, with shavings. Last night I put a hay bed down for her. This morning,

I was watching her on the camera. I had gotten up several times to check her during the night. She

was having a bad night. She was standing this moring against the fence. Like it was holding her up. I

ran out to see her. She stumble into her water bucket. I ran and got her out, and went into a circle.

She was stumbling everywhere. I could not let go of her. She went down. I tried to get her up. No

could not. So I ran to call my parents who had already left for work. And to call the Vet. He is over an

hour from us. We got her to the Vet. Had to wait for him. I was sitting in the trailer with her, talking to

her, she would trash in the trailer if I left her. I was sitting, and holding her head, and talking to

her, telling her how much I loved her. The Vet came over and look at her. Dr. Tim said she had a

major stroke. She has all the signs of it. He examined her in the trailer. She did not ever get up

again. She laid with me holding her head. He said there was no hope. He really felt it was best

to say goodbye and let her go. So we had to let her go. I will say as a horse owner this is the

hardest thing we have to do sometimes. But I knew there was no hope, she was only getting

worse by the minute. She was going down so fast. She was in so much pain too. The pain was

getting worse by the minute. She crossed the bridge with me holding her sweet beautiful head.

Loving her and kissing her to Heaven's beautiful gates, and to God's beautiful hands.

I will miss you forever Cashmere.

I just can't beleive my Cashmere is gone. It just breaks my heart.

This is Le Cheval Cashmere out of Del's Le Cheval Cardin and Le Cheval Champagne, foaled
