I heard this before but kind of forgot it. It might be worth your time to check it out or our votes might not count if we vote straight ticket. Bummer. Not all areas are affected by it but I'm not taking a chance.

At least push your vote for President first then push straight party if you are so inclined to do so.

Don't have the slightest idea why my typing is in green.

What I had heard and read was if you vote straight ticket, then that is all you do. If you vote straight ticket but then click/poke/mark any other choice, it will negate the entire vote as it would have counted as a double vote. I read it on snopes and heard it in the Houston news.

Bassett, if I am reading you right, what you suggest is to vote straight ticket and also vote for Pres, that would negate the entire ballot.

No, no. I said president first, then straight party. I tried to highlight the paragraph that said it in snopes but can't get the job done. It is almost to the bottom after the sentence "But you would be wrong". In this case they were talking about NC but i believe I read 17 states had the same thing. I am going to ask that question when I go in to vote.

I didn't vote straight party because there are alot of people on the ballot that I don't think are right for the job.

So I went and checked all the ones I wanted and there were alot. I thought I would never get done!

On the last page it shows all the people that you are voting for, before clicking the big red VOTE button.

We voted early so we had to "fill in the dot". Remember the tests you used to take in school? Once you finished "coloring" you ran the paper through a reader.
