Over the weekend, Jerry finished the back barn doors. We still have the front ones to go. We did get the inside insullated too on Sunday.

Today:

The stockings were hung by the stall doors with care,

in hopes that the horses wouldn't chew them up if they dare,

Little Dan on the roof, hanging lights from the top

I kept opening up more boxes of lights and said "Dan just don't stop!"

And then when nightfall came and it got dark

we plugged in the lights as the dogs began to bark

They glittered and shimmered along the barn roof

and with Jerry's good electric wiring I know they won't poof

The horses all looked at the reflections of the lights in the barn

and I told them "It's Christmas" and those colored lights won't do harm

They relaxed after that and began to eat their hay

as I said not to worry, I know Santa will soon be on his way.

I've awaited a new barn for over 30 long years

and although it's not finished the decorations brought me to tears

So hold on to your dreams and never let go

because dreams and wishes can come true, even if they come slow.

I spent most of the day decorating the inside of our barn, hung a swag by each stall, and garland. Hope to finish up by this weekend, then I will post a pic ..its so much fun decorating barns--at least I dont run out of room like I do in the house

I just love your new little barn! And I agree - the little ones look like they are going to get stiff necks waiting on those stockings to be filled - start now!

Ohhhh thats pretty ..wish i could decorate my barn. I will when i get my own barn in a couple years hopefully. Maybe next year ..who knows.

I found the more adoriable christmas gift today at TSC. Its a small horseshoe full of horsie treats. TSC just got them in. They have about 5 or 6 treats in them that are cute cute cute!!!. I couldnt buy any though because i only brought money for gas and my arabian horse magizine and a new foal halter ....im picking up a couple for christmas gifts for the little ones. I still gotta figure out how many horses my secrete santa has so i can get them some!.

Sorry i went of topic ....

I love the santa in the back and all the little stockings ..the peom was as cute as ever. Leave it to Marty to go over and beyond!!!
