We have lost many loved pets but now it is time a make a new page for the newest loss..

Polka was loved by many and she was a fantastic mare. She was always there for me when I wanted a friend or needed a mane to cry in, the pic may not sow it but she was absolutly beautiful inside and out, I got Polka after dealing with one of my arabians loss as she had cancer and became very ill, we spent thousunds on trying to save her but nothing worked nd we knew what had to be done. After about a month or so my friend told me she had a small Appy mare that was well brke and fun to ride, I figured that she sounded great.. the following Wednesday I brought "Nutmeg" home and decided to rename her Red Wines Polka Dot.. For her red wine color and he appy spots, I showed her for 2 years and did very well with her, and then decided to have her just as a best friend and trail horse, she had 3 years of being just those 2 things- my bestfriend and my trail horse. Unfortunally today at 11:43 I had to say good bye to my beautiful mare.

RIP Polka you will alwys gallop through our hearts and protect me.

I'm so sorry! It's easy to see how she was special. Some just make a larger mark on our hearts.

I am so sorry for the loss of your equine friend. Sometimes you just get that one that is 'one in a million'.

so sorry for your loss, hugs to you and your family. This helped me when I lost my Shelley at 36 years old:

Somewhere

Somewhere in times own space

There must be some sweet, pastured place

Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow

Some paradise, where horses go

For by the love that drives my pen

I know great horses live again!
