There's a bald eagle in Iowa that a Raptor Preservation Society has put a web cam on. I've been watching it for weeks, and finally today the first chick broke through its egg and the other two are expected to do so today. If you're lucky you'll be able to see the father bringing in a mouse or rabbit for the mother, or you'll be able to see the chicks if she stands up. From now on, there should be lots of action on the nest as the babies will need to be fed constantly. This pair of eagles has been together for over three years, and hatched out birds the last three years.
This is an awesome opportunity to see eagles caring for their young! The web cam picture is fabulous!
