Is it possible to know how many visits or hits a website has had, when it doesn't have a counter?

My uncle is running for judge and wants to know how his competition is doing.

Of course there is a way. His opponents web server will store all kinds of statistics. There are ways to get into all of that.

However, since he's running for Judge...perhaps it would be a good time to abondon practices that are of questionable morality.

depends on what kind of host you have. I have yahoo hosting and it tells me everything. I know how many hits each page gets and even what time of day people looked at each page. Also tells me how they got to my website be it search engine or a link on another site

LOL good point, strass!

Thanks, Kay.... I don't have a clue as to what server this guy uses, though... and I'm not one for hacking so I guess we'll wait 'til the votes are counted!!
