I'm so sorry he's gone from the physical world, but I agree he's running through the greenest patures now. Thanks for sharing the pictures; he was a beautiful boy with a beautiful spirit.

Those pictures are beautiful and say a lot about the two of you. It sounds like together you spent his last several weeks celebrating his life and the bond you had and that is the best possible way to prepare for that final transition. He was happy, he was loved, and he was given the ultimate gift.

P.S. My big paint in my avatar was put down in March, that was the last time I climbed gingerly onto his back...2 weeks before. Feeding time has been the hardest. While my husband continues to miss him too, he did not miss stacking the 3 tons of hay for him this year though! LOL.
