We had the partnership meeting this am. All 4 were there. To make a loooooong story short, the LADC was given a written reprimand by the other 3 partners. (Which I have copy of) They are in fear that I will sue them for emotional distress/harrasment. Their lawyer was present. Which was fine with me. He absolutely knows where he stands with me and the partners and that his mouth is not going to be tolerated anymore. Also, that he is to stay completely out of my personal life. Our relationship is "business only". They do not want me to go, but they do understand that I was going to go to a Personel Service AT 1 PM to find other employment. He did apologize to me for his words. So we are going to move forward from this, and I hope for his sake he stay miles away from the line! Thanks for ALL the adivce and support..... Theresa

Im so glad it went well. Hopefully this will put an end to it and he will keep his distance.

Sometimes people, especially men(sorry guys) just need to know your not going to let them push you around. BRAVO for being brave about the whole situation and good luck from here on out.

Theresa -

You have been through so much, and then to deal with this too! I am glad that things seems okay for now, and I truly hope that they work out for the best all the way around! You deserve much happiness and sunshine around you now! I only wish the best for you! And, it sounds like maybe things are beginning to take a positive turn for you.

Take care, and I know I don't know you, but being a part of this forum, I feel like family, so if you ever need someone to talk to, I am always here!

Good for you for putting him on notice. Sadly sometimes ya gotta get tough with the bullies and bully right back at 'em

Theresa with the lawsuits that are constantly brought against Jerks like him they had good reason to be afraid. If he looks cross at you now you have real grounds to kick his fanny too. Way to go girl. I am in your corner.

Theresa, glad it went well. You don't need anymore stress in your life, nor do you or anyone deserve to be talked to like that. Way to stand up for yourself.

Wow... as a business owner, I just cannot imagine any of that happening in my office but then I'd never be nasty or inconsiderate to an employee either. Hope it all works out for everyone.

I've been thinking about your post about the partners meeting yesterday and my guess is they had the lawyer there so the person who gotten the written reprimand would see how serious the other partners are about putting a stop to him running rough shod over other people. From what you wrote I think it was handled very well. Just because someone is a "partner" doesn't mean that everyone else has to put up with something that otherwise wouldn't be tolerated. I hope he got the message loud and clear and that things go much more smoothly for everyone.

I'm glad things are working out. You did good!

Years ago something similar happened to me...long story

...but I am glad that it turned out this way and I'll bet he will be walking around with his tail between his legs from now on. Maybe this is what he needed to set h im in his place. I would'nt doubt if eventually he ends up jumping ship.
