I met Wendy back in 1998. She was pet sitting next door and I found out that she liked horses and riding. We became fast friends. We used to ride together all of the time. I always went to her for advise and we loved to make up stories together. I was so lucky to find such a fabulous friend. I was in her wedding when she was married and when the day comes that I get married, she is my matron of honor. Sadly do to work, she and her husband had to move to Washington DC. I was crushed. I only saw her twice a year when she came to visit her family and though she always made time for me, I had to share her with both sides of her family. When she did come over though we had a blast. She LOVED the minis and we usually went for walks with them discussing just about everything. She helped me through a lot of crap too.
One evening she "kidnapped me" and we snuck out to a park on the beach to go sledding and we drank hot chocolate that she had packed in a thermos while out in the snow. She documented the whole thing with a disposable camera and made me a scrap book. Another night she came over and at 10pm said "lets make a pie"... so we did. Apparently she has a recipe for cheese that we are going to take on....
Wendy is the kind of person who just has that energy about her. She makes you happy. I cant wait to introduce her to some of my newer friends here!
Her husband got the job offer he was waiting for here and now they are headed home! It will be so wonderful to have her back. What a relief. I look forward to having more time to spend with her and to work on stories and fun pony things. Im sure there are many more adventures in store for us. Wish her safe travels with me as she will leave tomorrow with her husband to drive the cars up to Michigan again.
Wendy meeting Hiawatha for the first time (this was back when I first got Hiawatha and she was even more shy)
Introducing her son Noah to the horses
Prism LOVED them. Shes such an attention hog.
I have many more pictures of her but they are not on my face book Doh!
