If only clipping one or two I love the Andis 2 Speed AG-R. Nicely balanced for my torn up wrist, clips one pony easily without getting hot- just blades get hot. Small enough to get around the little surfaces on faces too.
If doing a lot of hairy beasts I'd go for something bigger like a Showmaster.
I have used two different types. The Andis 2 speed and the Oster A5s. I would rather use the Andis 2 speed, and am tempted to buy them next spring when I clip again.
I think it also helped that when I used the Andis 2 speed, I was clipping damp (NOT soaking wet) miniatures as compared to clean, dry, just washed that day miniatures.
I have the Andis 2 speed and they are fine for one or two minis.....I am actually looking for another set of clippers so I can do several horses at a time for showing.....any recommendations?
