Is she a red dun? She also has roaning in her? Is it dilute? Any help would be great. I want to describe her the best I can. You cant see but she also has a blaze on her face.

Does she have dun factor? I can't see any of it in the picture (dorsal stripe, leg stripes, shoulder bars, etc.). To be dun, she'd also have to have at least one dun parent.

What I see in the picture makes me think chestnut w/ sabino roaning.

She is not cream dilute. She may carry silver dilute though (you can't tell on red just by looking).

Dun most of the time makes the body lighter, and always has dorsal stripes. I see her roaning that I would call Sabino, and if she has a blaze that's probably Sabino too.

Her a nd r papers say red dun. So I am just confused. I want the righ tcolor before I list her. Ugh! Why o why???

she looks like a sorrel with flaxen mane and tail and I agree with the sabino roaning.

Here is a picture of my red dun filly for comparison: (it would probably help if she were clipped but o well)

Miniature papers aren't worth squat as far as colors go. A very large amount of them have the wrong color listed. I have what I think is a silver bay pintaloosa, he's registered as a palomino pinto.

Just ignore it.

Put very little weight on what the AMHA or AMHR papers say as to color.

Many silver dapples are registered "grey", many greys are registered "blue roan", many silver bays "sorrel" or "palomino". I don't pay much attention to what the papers say as to color.
