I love to travel and thought it would be cool to share and to learn where in the world we've all traveled!
When I was 11 my family went on a cruise to Bermuda, it was a spectacular trip, Bermuda is unbelievably beautiful, you can't imagine it until you see it! They have one of the best aquariums I've ever been to, I got to swim in a cristle clear ocean during a rain storm, walked down a brightly colored victorian styled street, watched ice being carved, swam in a salt water pool, and almost went helmet diving.
The summer before 7th grade I had the awesome oppertunity to travel with People to People to England, Ireland, and Wales! Ihad a blast, I rode the London Eye, saw the play "Fame", walked passed Big Ben, toured through tons of castles and churches, went on a ferry, learn Irish step dancing, biked the whole length of Inish Moore, went on a nature scavenger hunt through a forest in Ireland, stayed with host families, saw Shakspeare's house, viewed the changing of the guards in London, and so much more. It was an amazing trip!
Then this past spring my mom and I traveled to Belarus, a small former Soviet country. We went to visit a girl that we host every summer. We stayed for the first few days in the capital, Minsk with a group and then stayed with Veranika, my "host sister" for the rest of the two weeks. We went to a circus, went to a market, shopped in stores with only 10 shirts and 5 shoes and only available in the size that they were in, beautiful Russian churches and monastaries, went to a dance, walked accross Belarus' only foot bridge, walked in the prettiest fairytale like forests, visited an orphanage, bought things from stores the size of childrens play houses, meet some of the most amazing people in the world, visited a museum, and paid our respects at a WWII memorial. It was one of the best trips I have ever been on, it taught me how much we have that we seriously don't need. The family I satyed with was a family of four, they ad one bedroom, a kitchen, living room that doubled as the parents bedroom, and bathroom. I got home and went, holy cow, I live in a palace!
Sorry that was so long! Can't wait to hear all your stories!
