My stallion Patches is only R registered but his sire and dam are A/R registered. What kind of paperwork do I need to present the breeders to get him registered in A?

hello,

the last quote i got last year.

below is horses who are AMHR only being hardship into AMHA

if the horse is AMHR to hardship a stud into AMHA is $1,200 plus DNA test $41.00

if the horses AMHR to hardship a mare into AMHA is $600 plus DNA test $41.00

AMHR to hardship a gelding into AMHA is $400

Below is AMHA horses being hardship into AMHR.

Theses prices might have change.

AMHA hardship to AMHR stud is $400

AMHA hardship to AMHR mare is $200

hope this helps.

If i remember right you have to have a copy of the amha or amhr papers front and back to send in with the payment along with photos.current height as well.

MBhorses, I think you have the prices backwards. AMHA is $1,200 for a stud and $600 for a mare to ne hardshiped.

If the parents of your stallion are amha registered, I would call AMHA to see what you need to do. Maybe he just needs to be registered with an application and the fees for how old he is. I would call and ask.

I have that AMHR hardship into AMHA is as above I think.

thanks

I called them. The sire and dam are registered in A/R. My horse is R only.

The breeder sent in a breeding report so I don't have to worry about that.

I need a DNA kit (because he is 5), fill out a registation form (breeder sign), and then a transfer..

Thanks Everyone!

Awesome! I was hoping it would be that easy. I'm glad your boy will shortly have both sets of his heritage now!

I'm going through a similar situation. I have a 6 year old stallion that was never registered but both parents are A registered. I am going through the process right now. I have to get his Dam DNAed, who I do not own and she lives a few hours away. Thankfully Patty has been great about it. Thats been the hardest part so far. I still have to get the breeder's information so she can sign the papers. I know her name but thats about it. I just hope that she reported the breeding. This is my first time registering a horse, I figure if I can complete this one all other registrations should be a piece of cake.
