Here is Apollo (Lil Outlaw Alfee). He is 11 and was gelded about 6 months ago. I've only had him about 6 weeks. He looks much better than when I first got him, he gained some weight and his coat is looking much better thanks to the flax. His crest was fallen when I got him, but it has come back up. Tell me what you think of him..the good and the bad. I know he is more of a "beefy" mini and not refined, he is green broke to drive, but needs more work. I've talked with his original owner and they named him Alfee because of "Alfred Hitchcock" on his shoulder. It does look like Alfred Hitchcock doesn't it? He has some trust issues, but is getting better every day. He now comes up to me in the pasture about 80% of the time and doesn't run from me. Let me know what you think of him.

wanted to add - he is 34"

I love his coloration and yes, that definitely looks like Alfred Hitchcock on his shoulder!!

He's a solid boy but it looks good on him, I think he will make a nice driving gelding for you !

Well, I usually like to avoid critiques, but I thought I'd give it a go LOL. Actually, I don't have much negative to say. I would like to see a bit neater croup, but I think it has more to do with how he's standing. I think in a different pose he'd look a lot nicer in the croup . Over all he's a nice gelding. Like many of us he could shed a few pounds :bgrin but that's about all the downsides. Now the good (I like to end on a positive note !) His shoulder angle and tie in is nice and from what can be seen in the pictures, his legs look nice and straight. Again, I can't tell for sure, but he looks like he has "hooky" ears and a tapered muzzle. He should make you a nice pleasure driver. With a little weight off and some muscle on I wouldn't be afraid to show him some. As far as the marking, my first thought was of the little elf-like creatures (sorry, don't remember the names) on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings :bgrin

I like him.... I think part of the croup thing is the way his hooves are trimed. I personally think he is a little steep in the angle meaning he has too much heel. I would maybe sweat his neck a bit more... clean up the throat latch.... it does come off his body nicely. His shoulder is a bit upright but I can live with it. Basically he is a nice albeit denser boned horse.
