What do you use for Antivirus protection?

Suggestions please? We have had AVG forever and it did wonderful but poof it stoped working and now I can't find the free version!

What do you use that's free?

I don't like any of the free ones, I just go ahead and buy Norton and have never had any problems...we have 5 computers so I buy the one that allows for that many installs.

I have Verizon internet and it comes with a scan program that is done quite frequently.So far so good.

Avast! It works great and is free.

Microsoft security essentials--I think that's the name of it--also free and very good.

Norton, my sister likes Kaspersky. I had the free AVG and my computer got over run with viruses and everything you could think of and crashed! Then read the fine print that said they didnt 'guarantee it to work' but I could buy a version.
