Been so ticked that I havent posted about the show, the customer service thread changed my mind. We went to the last nights show at the Toyota Center in Houston. Couldnt get the tickets printed out so we did 'will call' , were told to not go to the outside booth, but inside. So we went through the security line, and found out that they didnt allow cameras, at all, even though they stated that only no flashes were allowed. So hubby walked back to the truck to put the cameras up. Went through security again, then they decided we needed to go to the outside ticket booth, I about flipped so they let us go to the inside one. Took forever, and we were second in line. Were told that there were no better seats available.

Went up to the lounge to watch the Demo, decided to eat, stood there looking at the LIGHTED menus, got up to order and kept hearing 'no, we dont have that' after the third time I asked what they did have, and were told burgers. So much for the other dozen things on the Menu. Then the counter help were idiots, couldnt tell us what was on the burgers, couldnt hear her anyhow ( there were no other customers). Got our overcooked burgers and sat down at a bar, werent allowed to sit in seats because we were late ( can understand that,no biggie)

After the Demo everyone was escorted out of the stands and back into the lounge. There was maybe 1 seat for every dozen people. We were not allowed out onto the concourse. So hubby and I sat on stairs, were told no but I told the security guard tough, I was sitting. Had a lady sit up a few steps behind us, she dropped her x-large drink down my back and didnt say anything!! No apology, nothing. Didnt even have the decency to put up her cup, or ice.

Finally got to our seats, that when I purchased, was told we were on the 4th row in. Actually we were in the 4th row down, about 40 from the arena. That is not what I was told. And we were told no better seats were available? They were barely 1/3 full below us.

The show was GREAT, the production was flawless. however, the Toyota Center is run by a bunch of idiots whose right hand doesnt know what the left it doing.

To make matters worse we got food poisoning from those **$& burgers. Luckily mine wasnt as bad as hubbys. Emailed them my concerns and heard nothing back. Oh well.

So very sorry about your experience at the Toyota Center. Husband and I were there for the last performance on Sunday afternoon and had some great surprises. OUr seats, not the most expensive, but I did purchase them last summer, turned out to be front row, right next to where the horses entered the arena! Sat next to a very nice girl that had lots of information on all the dressage movements to help me understand the difficulty of their moves.

One thing negative was the price of the drinks! Ridiculously way overpriced!

But the show, as you said was beautiful and flawless as far as the untrained eye could tell.

Yeah the concession stand was way overpriced, think it came to $26 for 2 drinks/burgers. Dont know how families w/a few kids do it. Glad you had great seats!

Wow...sorry you had such a frustrating time! Nothing like a bunch of yahoos to ruin your evening altho glad you enjoyed the performance.

We went to see them a few years back in Atlantic City...they were breathtaking. I also remember no cameras allowed in our venue.

That really sucks. When they were here in Sacramento, they DID allow cameras. The concessions were still way over priced. We just got drinks though, as I know what that food will do to people with sensitive stomachs (and mom and I both do). Performance was flawless, and the head rider even made jokes with the announcer. He told one of the horses to kick the announcer because the announcer said something about him (the rider- horse was in hand at the time, and no, he didn't kick the announcer). We bought our tickets the day of the show too, and while we didn't get great seats, they weren't bad. I hope if you ever see the Lipizanners again it is a better experience for you.

YOu need to notify the health department about the food issues. The TDH will tighten them up a notch.

We went to the Saturday night performance at the Toyota Center and had a great time. We were about 50 rows above Patton's grandson (big whoopie) at the opposit end from where they came in. Since I never partake of the food at that kind of venue it wasn't a problem. However, the whole thing could have been run better. The tickets did say no flash or movie. Then when you get up there it says no cameras at all.

Ah well, the show was great.

Pepipony, where are you in Houston.

Al, We arent in Houston , we're 1/2 between Houston and Dallas up near Buffalo.

We ordered the tickets in advance, just picked them up the day of. Luckily I have seen them before, and a whole lot closer LOL If I had known that they were going to change the camera rule, I would have brought our binoculars that have a dig cam in them
