I can't remember the stuff everyone has said to use. Their tail are really thin and their forlocks are too. They are eating their normal food and hay, drinking water, everything else is normal. WHat could be causing this to happen. They aren't rubbing their tails for manes, no hairs are around pulled out.

Have they always had thin / sparce manes and tails? Some horses are "just that way". Especially with appy blood...

well i always swear by shapleys mtg. stuff works like magic!

Most of our horses have great tails, and I think it's because we do nothing with them. We never brush them or comb them, except just before a show and even then it's done very carefully. That way the hairs don't break or get pulled out all the time. Works for us, anyway.

well now heres a little something i read on another forum.....something called.......PIG OIL!!!

apparently you can get it at a farm store, and you apply it just like mane and tail conditioner, and it makes your hands soft as you rub it on lol

i love a good head and tail of hair on a horse
