What movie would make a perfect book?

There's times when I watch a movie and I think, 'I wish this was made from a book!'

Anyone else ever feel like this? If so, what movie/s do you wish came from a book? I would have LOVED for Dirty Dancing to be in writing! I think The Sorceror's Apprentice and Hocus Pocus would have been my kind of books too.

This is the opposite, I wish someone would make Riding Lessons by Sara Gruen into a movie. The opening to this book grabbed me and never let go.

To answer your question, the movie Blood Diamond with Leonardo DeCaprio would make an excellent book.

Avatar would make an excellent book.

I have never checked, but if it's not already, the Book of Eli would also be a fantastic book.

Avatar would be a great book. James Cameron is actually in the process of writing a prequel (novel) to the movie. I do think the amazing scenery would be tough to capture in words.

^ did that make you laugh? I know, it's was a book before it was a movie

... but some of the movies below that I've enjoyed are ones I don't know if they were books first

I think 28 Days Later would be a great book, except I love the music in the movie. Just have to add, I watch waaay too many zombie movies! I live out in a secluded area on a dark road. Every time I have to get out of the car to open our property gate I always picture zombies walking through the desert towards me. I don't like going outside in the dark either, but that has just as much to do with creepy crawly things as it does possible things that go bump in the night. :-}
