What to do for a career?

I am trying to figure out what path to take. Problem is there are so many I want to take!!

So far I have about a year if that left in my BS Criminal Justice degree. My goal was when I am done with that to become a PO, then do my MS in Counseling.

Now since the job market sucks and I am struggling to find a job worth while that pays something I was thinkinga bout trying to enroll in skills this fall to becomea a police officer. I do have my AS which is all I need for this option. Thing is it will set me back on my BS, which I am already a year behind on as I took a different turn of the path and decided it wasnt for me.

This is crazy, I dont have a clue the right way to turn but need to decide it before I hit my max student loans. Any suggestions?

You need to make clear what you may be QUALIFIED FOR with the education you've received, plus what interests you. There may either be a combination of positions or a SIDE position you haven't even thought of.

So often people look at jobs or careers with blinders on and forget to be creative. Take your education, your experiences, background, gifts, etc.....and you may discover you are qualified for some exciting possibilities.

Currently, the private sector job options are limited, as employers have real concerns about the future. I think the only job market that is expending, probably unfortunately, is the public sector. Luckily for you, it sounds like your interests and education are in that area.

Can you sit tight one more year in school? I would encourage that, get your BS.

Otherwise, have you thought about tailing along with some of the paths you mentioned for a day or week to see what fits best?

I could. Just looking for one answer in life, so many changes so few answers = so much stress.

I ideally would love to work at a horse farm until im done with school. Relaxing to me, and im not afraid of hard work.
