what to whear to show

can any one tell me if long sleave are required in a halter show or can one whear short sleaves

For some reason, bare arms are frowned on....... You can wear sleevless UNDER a jacket, but the jacket needs to be longed sleeved.

Now, for driving classes -- bare arms and even cleavage is no problem!

I have seen some people and have once myself shown in a mid sleeve I guess the term is 3/4 maybe? blouse with no problems of course not at the National level

I wear long sleeves. But take along a short sleeve shirt. Sometimes when it is very hot they will anounce relaxed showing conditions. The judges really understand and do not want anyone passing out from the heat.(this does not mean tank tops or things like that).

I would go for long sleeves every time- apart from anything else you can roll them up right until you go in the ring and be sure everything is clean.

I feel it is more professional to wear long sleaves, it is a bummer when it is hot out though!

Long sleeves.

Take the hint from the Judges who are standing out in the hot sun all day, if they are in long sleeves (and I've yet to see one who isn't) you should be in long sleeves.

Just really agreeing with everyone else so far -- long sleeves. I usually wear a sleeveless tank top or shell underneath the (hot hot hot) jacket.

I was at a western store today to get a nice western shirt for the show the first and I was going to shorten the sleeves (they do this free there in the store).... the lady helping me mentioned that some horse shows require long sleeves... I said well it was minis and she said well I would check...... well I called a friend to post this topic and to call me back when someone replied ( I was 2 hours away from the computer ..needed answer NOW) She called and told me what you all said.... thanks so much cause I would have had them hacked there LOL........[/SIZE]
