Boy oh boy if it's not snowed or iced or frozen us solid it will be a miracle.

I am just praying for a decent temperature so Jerry can please please please get my foaling stall and tack room done. This has been going on now for 5 weekends where the weather seems ok during the week, but come the weekend the bottom falls out! Every single time!!!!!! I am so sick sick sick and tired of waiting for my solid walls to get up in the tack room. Presently, I am using two stalls for tack/feed which I don't need. This will free up another stall for me.

Once the walls are up, he'll be putting in some shelves for my stuff and also a counter top for me, so I can get my supplies out of all these rubbermaid containers. I have to dig in them every time I need something and it's been a pain in the poopyshoot. Once the walls are up in place, we can move the camera around that will be the is the best view for my camera to spy when my "Fetus" is coming out!!!!.

Then we are going to go round and round over the tack room door. We have 4 doors in storage and I hate them all because they are butt ugly and stupid. He says I am not spending $100+ on a new door when we have a selection in the garage. I want a storm type door with a screen for ventilation as the tack room has no windows. He wants a solid door because he says the horses will eventually bust the glass or screen and get into the feed room...........and the kind we have, you can't remove the glass to insert plexiglass. He's probably right but I like my idea better anyhow. I'll see if I can get him to custom build me a door that is solid on the bottom and has a screen on the top. :aktion033: This will go over like a lead balloon. It will probably snow........

I am sooooooo anxious to get out there and decorate my foaling stall I can't stand waiting to see what is in those rubbermaids to decorate with, it's been so long......like 20 years of collecting stuff! Now if I can only figure out which one of about 18 Rubbermaids my decorations are in.......

Send me possitive energy please for great weather!

So whatchadointhisweekend?

Stay safe and enjoy. :saludando:

Timmy says to tell you all "God Bless Us Everyone"

I'll betcha he goes cow tipping this weekend.........darn kids you know how they are :bgrin

Well, I just finished packing a bit ago for my relocation to Washington. Tomorrow morning I'm going to Phoenix to spend my last couple of days in Arizona with a good friend and her family. We're going to show her Arabian on Saturday, so I get to help clip and prep the mare tomorrow then help out at the show on Saturday before hopping the plane to SeaTac! :new_shocked: Fortunately, the weather here will be GREAT... but I don't know about Washington!

I'll be working this weekend. Which is okay......the weather is supposed to be bad anyway.

Weeeeelllll...probably hauling a mare and foal to a friend's house to have a date w/her stallion, and on the way stopping in to our local Miniature Horse Club's Schooling Clinic. Oh, yeah, we're likely to be hauling along some dozen fat Dungeness crabs (cooked) to give to our friends, too.

And on Sunday, hauling two horses back to same clinic. One is a yearling filly going to her new home and the other is my three year old gelding, Mouse. I think we're going to be brave and try out the Hunter/Jumper clinic so hopefully I won't chicken out.

I hope we get to visit with lots of people at the clinic and who knows what else may pan out for the weekend, but I hope it involves loved ones and lots of love and hugs. Just seems like we need 'em lately!

I hope your weather cooperates, Marty, you need that maternity ward asap so you can have it all ready for baby!

Nikki, I'm guessing WA will be cool and damp esp. where you're coming from, but I understand the side of the Cascades you'll be going to will be likely cooler and less damp than the We(s)t side where you fly in.

Looking forward to seeing you (at Sea Tac in Elma, perhaps?)

Liz

Liz - Thanks for the info.

: I'm actually looking forward to a little dampness in hopes it'll help remoisten my skin a bit. I swear, I must have accidentally gotten used to the humidity factor after living in the NW and SE US for a couple years! :new_shocked: Also, I'm not exactly sure what Syndi has in store for me but I'm sure I'll be seeing you around soon...

Washing show horse tails and putting them up in wraps... first show is 2mos away. I should have done this before now.

Lunging Bacardi (getting gelded today) to help reduce any swelling. Hopefully this will be the only "after care" he will require. This is usually all my boys have needed.

Working with the show horses some for exercising and standing for halter. Playing with Sunny at halter, too, just because it's so mind blowing to me that all I have to do is stand right myself, and he does it all on his own from there.

Watching some of these DVD's NetFlix probably thinks I decided to keep.

Maybe go out to lunch?

At some point, we should compare our weekend plans and if we do, I think I will earn the most boring homebody type award. There's no place like home

Since my weekend starts today - I'm a happy camper. Today I'll be taking Gypsy over to Arcadia to Kristy's - we're taking several to a vet for Coggins - 2 of them mine. Gypsy needs one as she'll be going to visit her old boyfriend who now lives in Tennessee and Treasure will be for sale soon. This is the fun part of my "weekend".

Then, Saturday and Sunday I'll be working on this house as we want to have it on the market in a couple of weeks - got to get it sold so we can get moved to Tennessee. Supposed to be really nice here this weekend so would much rather be out in the barn playing with the horses - well, I do need to straighten out my tack/feed room. Sounds like a good excuse to me.

Will be working with my new filly, Diva, too - we may go to Ocala in a couple of weeks. I'll be posting a picture soon.

Have a great weekend everyone!

My weekend starts at 5 today, with cleaning the house up. I started last night...but...the phone kept ringing and I didn't finish so I will get it done by 7 tonight. Joe is driving back from Georgia tonight. My son and daughter in law are coming for the weekend with the boys, Noah and Gus (both 9 months old), also tonight. My daughter and son in law and their month old daughter, Ellie, are coming on Saturday too to spend the night. And some good friends that we used to visit at Smith Mtn. Lake are coming for pizza on Saturday too. So it will be wall to wall people here.

I like the idea of a solid door at the bottom and a screen part on the top...how about a dutch door with screening on the top and then you could leave it half open when you are in there...it would be have a much more open feeling. Jerry could make it out of one of the doors you already have and you would both be kinda sorta HAPPY!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I have to drive an hour away this afternoon to go to my kids 1st track meet. It's been 80 here all week so they will be smelly all the way home. Don't be mad frozen ice people, it's supposed to get yucky here this weekend, too. (50 degrees is FREEZING to me!)

Pacing.

Back and forth, back and forth, waiting for my new little Erica Baby, "Peanut" to arrive from Arkansas!!! His stall is all ready, bedded deep, his name is on the stall door, brand new Emerald Green Halter/Lead, new Emerald Green blanket ready in case he thinks it is chilly up here. The buckets are washed and shiny, and I have the other Fids all psyched up and ready to meet their new little Brother.

I am anticipating LOTS and LOTS of loving this weekend!

I'll be washing and clipping horses, and letting them dry in the nice warm sun for a horse show next weekend. Saturday evening we are going to a park (yes it's outside) for a Luau for our Pastor and his family as he is moving to Chicago soon. He promises he'll be back to visit many times between November and April. I wonder why

Sent the blades away to be sharpened. My first show is at the end of March. I am also driving my minis at a friend's indoor. FUN FUN FUN!!!!

As always Church on sunday but saturday we are going up to DC to pick up some more Doxies from Barbara!!! Yippee, Lark blue and tan, Coral, light red , Faye Red Champion Sired and Blue who will be going to live with an elderly client of my vet. He had to put down her 16 year old doxie last fall and HE IS BUYING BLUE FOR ROSE!!!!! What a vet, He cares as much about his people as their animals. We are looking forward to the girls coming. I am convinced that some of these will become bed dogs! (did I say that out loud?) :bgrin

I am praying the weather is good to me because today is the start of SHOW TRAINING AND CONDITIONING!!!!!!

Woohoo! My main focus is on Chantilly because my first show with her is in 22 days :new_shocked: Its for my high school's equestrian team so all I can do is driving, showmanship, and trail. Thats alright though. So I am working on her side passing and pivoting as well as getting her in shape.

Today I am driving Chantilly, continuing to work on Dusty's driving training (he is getting better!) and I am going to take the monkies (Diego and Jubilee) for a halter lesson. Jubilee will do fine, Diego needs more manners.

I am also going out to lunch today with my mom. Monday is back to school, February vacation is over

It's supposed to rain all weekend here, so I'll be limited to grooming and housework. Oh! We are having dinner with my folks one night, that will be fun.

Last weekend I managed to pull everything out of my tackroom and rip out the $%*#! carpet that has been driving me nuts for 8 years. It's so clean and organized now! It won't last, but it looks good for the moment!

Waiting and watching Trisket. She's due any time and has been showing some signs and she's 333 days today!!! It's supposed to be in the mid to upper thirties this weekend with lots of sun.
