We are in for some nasty weather this weekend. They are predicting rain for Saturday and Sunday, snow for Monday,. so today I will be getting the Prancers prepared to stay in out of the rain and enjoy their barn.
I'm putting in new shavings for everyone and stocking up Purina 12 12 minerals in their stall mineral holders. Getting some hay out of the hay shed and transporting it to the barn. It's a sunny day today so I'm going to clean their brushes by soaking them in some nice soapy water. I'm getting some tail bags ready too because there is surely going to be some serious mud after all this.
On Saturday, after morning feeding I'll keep them inside with hay and off I go to shop! I need card stock, and food, and some Christmas gifts, and our TREE!!!!!! Seems like whenever it rains, I shop.
Jerry learned how to make beet pulp, so he's going to be here to feed lunch and keep the horses in hay while he works on another barn door in the isleway so he doesn't get soaked. He'll be singing along with the radio which has nothing but Christmas music on our favorite channel. Caught him last week bellowing out "Up on the Housetop" with Timmy and Chrissy climbing all over him and when he came to the "HO HO HO" part, well, he had Chrissy's ears and was just jiggling them back and forth to the music. I'm sure he'll have Timmy out running and terrorizing up and down in the isleway. He loves to watch Timmy go from stall to stall to play with everyone over the doors. Oh let's face it, we let the kid do whatever he wants......
So if it's the last thing I do, this weekend I hope to have my cards done, gifts wrapped and tree up, and outside lights working???? I hope so!
Now, whatchadointhisweekend?
Have a wonderful weekend and drive carefully too and stay warm.
And Timmy said to tell you "God Bless Us Everyone"
