Not much here. No plans so far. There's rain in the forecast so I'll probably be hold up in the barn messing around with the Prancers. If Jerry gets the cameras up I may start weaning Timmy, but not sure about that one yet. The house is clean and laundry is done and put up, so that leaves me open for anything. Then, I'll probably watch some Sci-Fi.

So, whatchadointhisweekend?

Stay safe and enjoy and as Timmy says "God Bless Us Everyone"

I am 1/3 into my weekend since I have 3 day weekends. Went shopping and bought some clothes today, and repair kit for my 3 way lamp. Now to figure out how to fix it.

We are going to a big rodeo in Columbus on Saturday night, a Christmas gift from Paul and Libby Rosen (Mistyrose). Other than that, not much. Oh, am going to dig out my grooming table and get some new pictures of Gracie set up to send to her breeder. Then maybe start looking for the next dog show.

Read the performance sections of the AMHA rule book and identify problem areas for the new Performance Committee to work on. (I am on that committee).

I'm going to my son's basketball game tonite. Tommorrow I work our local Horse show, Sunday I have two lessons. Have a safe weekend....Kathy

I am trying out a 16.1 app gelding tomorrow again. This will be the second time I've ridden him. My husband is working on the stalls in the barn.

Sunday relaxing!

I am going to spend the weekend moving boxes that have never been unpacked upstairs, get them sorted then off to a storage locker. Leaving them unpacked is not an option.

I'm on call at TAMU CVM in the small animal hospital. Hopefully, will be a busy weekend (I like the fat paychecks!). There's also a farrier seminar in town as well, so maybe I can get to that and ask some questions.

Well, we're supposed to get 6-8" of snow tonight, so you know what I will be doing

5) Doing some orders of mini stuff with my Christmas money

6) Making Stall Signs

7) Filling out all club registrations and AMHA/AMHR stuff and sending that in

Lessons, lessons, lessons, and oh yeah, lessons.

All day today I was at the barn cleaning up pastures, fixing fences, and teaching. I have a running joke about "Old People Friday" that my younger barn kids started. (Mind you, me at a whooping 21 years, is part of the "old" people.

: ) I always Love my fridays, as it a much lower stress level for me with most of my adult riders. The horses can't really push them around as well, and they are all rather advanced.

Tomorrow is my Kid's a Plenty day. :bgrin I get going about 6:30 and don't stop till about 2:00.

Then it's off to the the annual state Fair for a horse show (minis) and to go ride rides and get Cotton Candy
default_eat.gif
: There is Nothing better in this world then Cotton Candy. I am pathatic about it, I can eat two or three bags in one afternoon... :new_shocked: I know I know. Bad bad Whitney, but hey it's only once a year right>>?

Sunday I am back to the old grind again, feeding and teaching. I am hoping to clip some horses on Sunday (Head and neck, and one big horse full body.) so will see if I can accomplish that. Also I am going to try and get all our hotwire re-run. I hate the stuff, but I hate digging post holes more!
default_wacko.png
: These big horses of mine just eat fence for fun! Brats. Then James and I are going to Try and go for a nice ride together
default_wub.png
: ... We'll see about that... Then it's time for my (groan) Calculus homework. I HATE MATH. Sorry, venting.... and well, that's about that hopefully. :saludando:

We're also getting snow, but only 2-3" :bgrin up here, Farmhand. Carl thinks I should get out of the house in leiu of losing Cricket so we agree to go to a friends daughter's high school Hockey game. Depending on how long I can sit on bleechers will depend on how long I will stay.

He said he will treat me to the Chinese buffet for lunch before the game, np appetite but I love Chinese so that will work

Well, thought I found some good or acceptable horse hay; spouse went and picked up 8 bales and my goodness; it's terrible! I mean I'm spending so much time in the am and pm hand picking through the flakes to pull out all the hard, I mean really stiff, thick stems. I just don't think my 2 little ones could easily digest these very hard, thick stems. So that's part of what I'll be doing; also will be calling around to try and find some decent soft horse hay; this hay they sold us must be cow hay; I just can't imagine a horse eating it like it is.

I took some pictures of it but don't think from the pictures you could tell what poor quality it is. If the feed place were closer I'd take it back; it cost us $7 per bale!

Well, I know this topic is not on hay; I've read a lot about it and have added my own thoughts on it on.

I just hope to find a better alternative than my hand picking 2-4 flakes of hay a day. I may shop for the cut bagged hay some of you have mentioned. My goodness, I bet it cost a pretty $$$.

So just in case you didn't see what I'm doing this weekend: I'M HAND PICKING HAY !!!! UGG!!

Most of the bagged stuff is about $15 for 50#. I don't LIKE it but, have used it in a pinch. Got AWESOME timothy from Canada thru my broker but wooooweeeee, expensive. No waste, tho -- soft , green, AWESOME....cut early, not stems. 22cent a pound & 120# bales.

Sooooo......for the weekend. Hmmmm, I'm working Sunday. Saturday (today)...it's my holiday routine since it's my birthday...and holiday means feed but nothing else unless you just feel like it. So, I fed, trimmed hooves on a few, talked with a neighbor who stopped in and now, I'm playing on the computer.

Well saturday I've played with my photo program, and finished a craft project.

Sunday I'll cook and clean, and wash up some tack.
