This is supposed to be a 100% horsey weekend. No housework! Just horsework. Housework is done so if they slop it up, they can clean it. I need some serious barn time.

I'm starting with my feed/tack room which has gotten quite messy. Shame on me. :nono:

Then a huge grooming fest is in order. The Prancers only get a going over daily, so on the weekends they get the full monty with cowboy magic, show sheen, and all new scrunchies. I love the scrunchies that Fizzy sent over. They have these cool little snow flakes on them and look so nice and pretty. I might throw caution to the winds and do a couple of braids too. If I get really ambitious I might shave bridle paths.

On Saturday, Sheryl from Irish Hills is coming over to play with me :new_multi: so that means barn fun and junk food. Must go shopping. We need our junk food. Must eat junk.

I'm seriously thinking of weaning Timmy this weekend if Jerry ever gets the hot wire connected again, but I won't hold my breath. Don't think it's going to be tramatic or anything and not in any real hurry, but that double pee and poop in one stall is getting to me. I find myself stripping it continually.

So, whatchadointhisweekend?

Stay safe and enjoy!

And as Timmy says "God Bless Us Everyone"

I decided that my weekend starts today as today (the 26th) is my 18th birthday!!! That's a big one here so it's very exciting.

Today started off awful! I woke up with a high fever which after taking some medicine I was luckily able to get it down to 100degrees Farenheit(sp?) I was determined to go to school so I went although never again am I going to school with a fever. I spent most of my classes sitting outside in the cold because I felt like I was being cooked alive. Luckily after taking a bunch of advil about four hours later my fever broke but then I lost my voice!!!!!!!!!!!!! Things started getting better after that though! One of my teachers actually bought me a chocolate cake which we all split between the class and everyone sang happy birthday to me!

Then I went out to my car only to find a bunch of people looking at my car. I have a little honda civic hatchback and on the rear window on the window wiper was a HUGE (like one of those big poster boards) card with a bow on it. Actually the card said HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH on it then in small writing said "Sorry if this is not Sarah's car!!!!!" hahahah! Then on my cars atena were about five lays(leis...I don't know how to spell them) and bead necklaces as well as two balloons although one ended up popping! Turns out that my friend who has already graduated and doesn't go to this school anymore snuck over to my car and did this all for me! It really was great! Then everyone in the hallways (even people I don't know) were wishing me a happy birthday! I think my friends are plotting some mysterious plan involving me because they made some strange exscuses up that they had to go quickly and I couldn't come!!! So it's so far an exxxxxxxcellent day!!!

Tomorrow I have a wee bit of school to attend but after that I'm getting my hair done and my friend that I havn't seen since the summer is coming down to visit. Then about 20friends are heading out to dinner and then likely to go salsa dancing or some other fun thing! Then a select few back to my place for cake and fun times!

Saturday I will be hanging out with my friend that I mentioned above that I havn't seen in ages. I'll then drop her off to go home. That night about forty of us friends (a whole different group from teh previous night) are going out for a movie then who knows what. Then again I'll probably have a handful of people back at my place for cake!

Sunday I'm being taken out for lunch by two other friends and then I will need to work on homework!

Yay for being 18!!!!!!!

Oh, I hope we're having a foal! My 331-day mare is getting a really big udder...but at some point I need to sneak away for two hours to buy feed.
default_smile.png

That's probably when she'd have it as she's snuck 'em out in half hour windows the past four foals! I have NEVER seen this mare give birth, only arrived right after. *LOL*

I guess that's about it unless you count harassing my friends for entertainment in the meantime and getting to know my late Christmas new laptop my Dad got me.

First? SLEEP! I had a sleep study last night and zzzzzzzzz. I usually do not have trouble falling asleep at these but I sure did and that was with a sleeping pill! I did get to try a new type of CPAP mask and I am going to switch to it the next time I get a new one! Really liked it.

Can't nap today, mamogram time soon and have to pick up my corgi and another dog from the doggy beauty shop.

Might take myself to see Narnia this weekend. Back up my pictures files so I can install the xp service pack upgrade and the new software that is going to allow me to import vhs movies to laptop so I can burn dvds of my most loved tapes, like mini shows from the 80's!

Well --- I hope to bring my mare Star home from the vet hospital

Also have my vet scheduled to come out and do shots

Supposed to rain Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday ---

My husband has to work (2nd shift) on Saturday -- after working 12 hour shifts Thursday and Friday --

Tomorrow is a special day for me --

SOOOO I am thinking about buying a bottle of champagne (maybe Asti Spumante) and some good chocolates with nuts in them (my favorites) and getting a good book from the library -- and after the vet has gone --- going to sit, read, eat chocolate and drink champagne --- then on SUNDAY -- we will go out to eat at our favorite Indian place ---

I am going to ENJOY this weekend -- my poor husband is not going to have so much fun.

Tomorrow morning, we are picking up "Spirit", my silver dapple near leopard mini mare and bringing her home... FINALLY. Trailer hooked up and ready to roll. She's all of 1.5 miles away and had been where she is for training. Will be like getting a new horse really to have her home for the first time ever -- and I bought her 2 years ago!

Doing house work. Been keeping the house so nice, neat and clean since the first of the year, where it had gotten messy before. I have so much more energy and motivation now that I'm counting carbs and exercising each morning.

On Sunday, I am going to visit my friend, Alice, and see her new stallion, who's a Buck Echo grandson -- making him what, a second cousin to Destiny? It should be a fun visit

My biggest priority is sleeping in as much as possible!

Then, I have to work for an hour or two on Saturday. Hubby's curling bonspiel banquet is Saturday night so I guess I will be attending that.

Sunday night, as usual, I will be writing stories for my Monday deadline.

I have the weekend off!!! Whoopee! Started it off right today with my second "driving" lesson....still doing ground driving but getting the hang of it. Have some problems because I have a bum leg.....but still doing it! The weather is suppose to be rainy/snow Sat and Sun, hopefully will have some breaks to play outside. Otherwise I have a goooooooood book to read!

: Fighting the snow again. Spring like today now there is a snow warning streaming across the screen for 12" in the U.P and 8" for us or more, all depends on the "line".

Man I'm ready for Spring to head our way. Snow is piling up around the horses turn out pens making them smaller
