Hi. I'm setting here tonight with awl in hand making some adjustments to my team harness (or rather the two singles that I am converting) and wordering where are the harness makers?

I have a cousin who is a saddle maker but when a asked her about making or making adjustments on a team harness she looked like I had asked her to rob a bank.

Our local feed store has a man that does some saddle repair but once again when you try to talk harness they look blank then try to run from you. And if you leave somthing you might get it back some time next year.

So where does everyone get their harness repaired built what ever?

I owe I owe so I guess I contuniue to sew.

GEEE my hands are getting Black, Black, Black, BLACK

Sorry I can't help you - Australia is a bit far away!

But I can recomend some books by Robert H Steinke

Repair Your Own Saddlery and Harness

Bridlework

There are a couple of others he has written including on on Harness making

If you look on Amazon or similar you should be able to find them - very clear with lots of pictures etc Good Luck

Jan, there is one here in Arkansas. We had him make a harness that would fit Marty since we couldn't find one to adjust small enough.

i believe lutke makes harnesses. i know they have a website but i lost the address

Kaykay, I dream of having a harness by Lutke. But unless I win a lottery I dont see me getting one from them before show season this year.

Allen's Dad makes and repairs harness. He has a shop close to the house and does that type of work when we're not farming. We're in west central Minnesota. Sandy

What about the 1 on the way to Heber Springs? Did you ask Jan T.? Have a good day at work today. I will enjoy the sunshine for you.
