I wrote a book for my grandson Aidan. I want to give it to him on his 2nd birthday in July and want to make sure I have plenty of time to get it done.

So is there a place out there you can pay to put the book together, so it looks like a book?

It's about a little boy, Aidan, who lives in NY City and gets a horse. He tries having the horse live in his room, the garage, a playhouse and even a treehouse. But in the end it was a dream and the horse is in the best place, at grandmas house.

That's the basis.

He does have a horse here, Nadia,,,that's Aidan backwards.

So do you know of anyone who does this?

Thanks for your help.

It wouldn't be as professional looking, but places like Kinko's sometimes offer spiral binding. You might check with local newspapers or magazines, they might be able to do paperbacks (could probably do "coloring book" type binding).

Good luck with getting it put together and presenting it to Aidan, what a cool grandma you are.

If you have photos or art work I think Snapfish will let you do a book online.

You then order it from them and it comes hardbound to your address.

My son was married this past summer, here on the farm. He did a book for

his bride for Christmas that was photos and his hand drawn artwork along

with the vows from their wedding. Beautiful.

It was a small sized book...perfect for kid's hands.

I used www.createspace.com to do my books.

You would have to format the book yourself, which is not hard to do. Then you upload your files to them.

It will only cost you the price of one proof copy, $2 or $3 dollars depending how many pages you have. After you approve the proof copy, you can order anywhere from one to 5000 copies.

If you do not wish to sell them online you can opt out to selling on Amazon and just buy how many you want.

There are many helpful people on their forum to help with formatting and uploading etc.

You can take a look at my books on my website.

I think Marty had her books done with a local print shop and they look great.

Good Luck, it's fun to do and it's something that your grandson will love for life because his grandma wrote it for him. Then you will have to write two more for your other grand-children!
