This will be my first overnight outing with both minis and (now that I think about it) the first time in my life I've ever shown more than one horse at an event.

Kody was so excited to be clipped last night he could hardly stand it as he knows that means he's going to a show.

He hasn't left the property except to go to the vet's or once a friend's house since he hurt his back in spring of 2009 and forced retirement has not agreed with him.

He can't wait!

Try not to laugh too hard at my apparently in-foal gelding, it's not his fault he hasn't been able to work for over a year.

Turbo looks pretty good but is being a brat and a half with testosterone poisoning these days and I haven't worked with him much since the last show so halter should be interesting. I'm mostly going just to have fun and get the boys out so hope to see everyone there!

Ahh yes, the first outting with two horses, I remember it well, and still do it to this day :D

Hope you have lots of fun and good luck!

LOL We have a little gelding who always looks like that and I have decided he has earned that right. No need to starve him (he hardly gets any grain as it is) he just goes and does his job in performance- shows in the halter ring cause in his mind he is an amazing halter horse and who cares if he is fat. Hey if a little fat got in the way of showing I would never get myself to a show LOL

But one show he was going in Liberty- Raven was at the gate watching and heard some ladies saying OMG how mean they are making that little very pregnant horse run like that hee hee - she did turn and politely say that little very pregnant horse was really just a tubby boy LOL

Have a great time!

We are. But haven't worked the horses at all. So when they don't place, it is my fault. Not enough time in the day. Or energy either.

We are going to try and have fun. Will pick up my puppy, and that is what I am excited about!!!!

Boy am I beginning to sympathize with that!

I know I've only got two and I don't even have the big horse anymore but it's still really hard to get them both worked individually around the weather and my job. Guess I just need to become more efficient.

We'll have our Sheltie, Lucy, there as well.

Poor Turbo ended up getting his wolf teeth out tonight so hopefully that doesn't cause him any difficulties. At least I got his ears clipped while he was sedated!

You will all have such a great time.

Leia Kody is going to be so happy to get back out there and strut his stuff. I'm hoping Turbo will give it his all and be a good boy for you. First ever show I went to out in Boring we took three two yearlings and Jimmy. We came away with some life long memories from that one I assure you.

I wish everyone an awesome show experience and I will be pulling for you here at home. If it wasn't such a long drive I would consider driving up and watching a few classes tomorrow. Also both Vicky and Erin are working tomorrow and I can't think of anyone else who would be interested in driving up there with me on short notice.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE GOING!
