So sorry for your loss. I always feel so much worse for the mares losing their babies, especially the mature mares they really feel it. You can just tell how badly they mourn the loss. It's easier with the maidens as they so often don't understand what is going on.

Take care of yourself and your mare. It is a sad loss for both of you. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
