He goes in at 9:30am, and has surgery at 11am. It's one hand only- his right (and dominate hand), which has the more severe nerve degeneration (moderate to severe). It's not a hugely massive surgery... but he can't lift anything over 1lb for 2 weeks, and nothing over 2lbs for 4 weeks after that.

And Nathan weighs 15-16lbs.

I can't go- they don't want little kids there, and I'd have to take Nathan if I were to go. So I'll be at home being my worry wart self... glad I got my Christmas shopping done today- both "my guys" have gifts and stuffed stockings now. Only problem is I know I'll wanna give Dave his gifts early just because he'll be in pain and all from the surgery.

Keeping your family in my prayers. I will add one for a speedy recovery.

Merry Christmas!

Good luck to your hubby and wishing a speedy recovery.

Sending wishes for a sucessful surgery and a fast easy recovery. Have a wonderful Christmas.

I hope everything goes well for him. It's not so bad. I had both of mine done a week apart. Accidently shut the bathroom door behind me and was shut in there trying to figure out how to open the door and I was home alone.

Well, he came through it just fine

He's hurting, and today it started itching, but so far so good.

I'm going to end up become a real witch with a capital B, though. Not sure who needs the prayers more now- him, or me LOL. Both of us feel bad for each other, because we can't help each other- he can't help me much to carefor Nathan, do household chores etc.... and I can't make his pain go away!

Ahhhh well. We'll manage... I need to get sleep, though. That'll help me immensely... no sleeping in for me for a long time.

The next six weeks are going to be hard... but heck, it could be worse, I'm sure. Just hope things will return a little bit back to normal- Christmas shopping threw me off, since it took a whole day, which throws my little "schedule" off. Still recovering... and NOOOO! Here comes Christmas Day, which'll do it again!!!

Off to bed for me. I'm tired and have at least three nighttime feedings to wake up for... but Nathan is starting to eat more food at one time (same amount, just more at once), which might just be the key to sleeping through the night!! (I pray

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I'm still worried for Dave's recovery- he means the world to me, and I really hope this will prove to allieviate his symptoms.
