My goodness.. it was a beautiful out yesterday!! I just loved it.
Took Dyfra out again yesterday morning about the same amount of riding I did the day before. She was really good until she saw mama cow and her new calf. But got her doing lateral flexion before she started to do something stupid. <rolling eyes>
Hubby wanted me to take pictures of the freshly eaten bones I found yesterday and that box or what ever in the tree. She was really good about me taking pictures from her back. Which is a great improvement for her.
Then rode the fence line again. Someone took two No hunting signs and left Beer cans. Took pictures of those for good measure. Did not want to get off today so left them there. I know where they are at so will have DS go out and get them later today.
Wish I could just ride all day.
Came back to the house.. Groomed Dyfra.
Put their orange Vests with bells on and let them out in the main pasture to eat. Dustenai walked off. Ella (donkey) stayed around until she figured out I wasn't going to scratch her all day. Dyfra stayed near me while I sat there and watched everyone eat. It was sweet she was keeping me company, happily eating near me.
If I had a bench out there with a back rest, I would of just sat out there longer to enjoy the view, horses and sunshine.
Need to ride Dustenai but I am not going to until that back brace comes in the mail. Am crossing my fingers that will help me not be in pain when I ride her.
Until I get that back brace she is on a no ride vacation. Also looking into getting her a cart but having trouble finding just the right one for well balanced for her and with the comfy smoothness I need.
Tell ya one thing.. and I need to get a picture of it. Dustenai is one impressive looking horse when she is charging back up to the pasture by the house, coming right at you to her vitamin bucket!!
Feel bad for Maggie... haven't taken her out in cart in awhile. Need to get on the ball about that. Looks like the weather is going to be good for at least a week.
Here are a couple of on horse back pictures of Dyfra and I taking a break.
