We have these guys year round. They make the winter so much less dreary. I don't feed them in the summer but start right around now and through the winter and spring months. The jays eat like wee piggies!

I had a horse with partial vision loss and always left her whiskers. Odd thing I noticed is that on her blind side, the muzzle whiskers were always shorter than on the visual side so I'm making a guess she used those whisker enough to wear them down a bit.

I'd definitely pass on this one. This should've been disclosed. About the dry lot, I'm pro dry lot. My set up has a a paddock just big enough to keep a small amount of grass coming in so they do have enough to nibble on and keep the browsing around but it's pretty darn sparse.
