    confession time

Baby animal junkie here but puppies would have to be the top of the list. All warm and soft and puppy smells and wriggles and cuddles and kisses.............. One of the best things about puppies is that that when they grow up they are still adorable.

When life blows up in your face? Feeling broken and hopeless.

So sorry for all you have been going through lately. I predict that your run of bad luck is officially over. I hope you have a great holiday season and that there are lots of good things in your future.

Rabbitsfiz, I have 27 mouths to feed. Soaking is not an option.

    ''Recipe for disaster''

From my reading the 24/7 hay fed in the slow feeder nets should be a hay that has been tested and shown to be low in sugars. Easier said than done here in Oz where most hay is Oats or Rye or something equally diabolical. I have a source of native pasture hay which hasn't been tested but...

    ''Recipe for disaster''

Rabbitsfiz in another post mentioned ''recipe for disaster'' which is my current feeding regime. My herd is on pasture 3 hours in the morning then on a dry lot for the rest of the day and night, a nibble of hay mid afternoon and lots of slow feeder hay nets at night. I've been reading about...

Does Anyone Else Have a Filly that...

It takes a lot of wind to make my lot move. On the other hand my donkeys play heaps.

    Fat or Furry?

Sorry but he'd be the thinnest horse in my paddock. Extra cute though. Love his blaze. You could call him Captain Hook.

    OMG I bought the FARM

Oh congratulations. That all looks so pretty. But BEWARE. Just because you have acres doesn't mean you have to buy 23 minis and 4 donkeys and become an exhausted slave for the rest of your life. Oh, just ignore me. I might go away. Again Congrats.

    Found Lost dog

A Maltese followed me and my Cocker home early one morning. After breakfast I put her in the car and took her back to where I'd seen Maltese before. No not theirs. Took her to the local vet "All Maltese look the same'' he said and told me she was about 5 months old. Rang the radio station and...

Fourluckyhorseshoes, you and I are obviously reading different books. My understanding is that grass is safest between 3am and 10am. What's a girl to do??

So I got A sheep. PIC ADDED!!!

Don't care what people say I reckon sheep are really smart. I have a crossbred who is about 5 years old. Had her since she was 5 days old. Her name is Lamington. She is so lovely. Thinks she is a horse. She hangs mostly with the old Arabian and the old girl lets her do anything. A few days ago...

My experiment with oats and a rant against the feed companies (UPDATE)

My freaky old Arab mare has returned to her old sweet self after removing a "cool" pellet from her diet. She is the one I accused of going senile and who freaked, knocked me over, freaked some more, slipped then fell on my leg and broke it big time. Hope she stays that way. Poor old thing. So...
