    AMHR National Late Entries

It "ain't over till its over"......I guess it "ain't" over yet.....agree (again) with Dr Taylor and RayVick..... I am waiting for a hero here....can't some one step up and make this right? And, this is the first time EVER where we have a horse going to nationals that is straight off the...

    Equine Immune Boosters

I am curious what people think about these. Does anyone use them? If so, what? With Nationals coming up--sounds there were a few horses that got sick at Congress--I am wondering if there is any benefit to these types of products.

So sorry Tiffany. I would be very upset as well. I feel bad for you and the others impacted by this. I wish the AMHR power (s) that be would send out a definitve statement on what the decision is, if one has been made. In the meantime, I will continue to hope. . .

    AMHR National Late Entries

Just my opinion, Allaboutminis. I was hoping for something thats feels like a "win/win" . Past mistakes or rigidity on the part of organizations or people, in my mind, is not a reason to not try and do a better job with decisions this time around. Again, just my humble opinion I don't know what...

    AMHR National Late Entries

Tend to agree with Dr. Taylor. Fine them with a late fee, let 'em show and clarify any rules/regs for future situations. IMO, that would be the best for all. Those who "did the right thing" by getting in on time would find "comfort" in there being a penalty, those who missed the deadline will...

    AMHA Hardship Closing

Melinda, I am unsure what the reasoning was for closing hardshipping in 2013. We hardshipped our last mare this past spring, so now everyone is double-registered. I would be interested in the reasoning behind this, anyone know?

Vaccine Protocols - foals & adults

Agree with whats been said above. This was the first year we did a double strangles vaccination and I won't be doing that again. Two of the four yearlings got really sick and we almost lost one of them. Perhaps they were too young but I think I will be sticking with just one in the future.

Decided to geld my fave guy

What a beautiful animal! Good for you, I am sure you will clean up showing him as a gelding. I love my geldings and I am not kidding when I say they get smarter when you remove those pesky little things.......

LET'S RUN STATS ON NAIL TEST

Wrong on the two babies we had this year. 1 said filly and it was a colt. The second one said colt, and I got a filly.....

    Thinking about buying a gelding

For the first time ever, we showed our two year old gelding this year and had a BLAST! Edgar cleaned up, sometimes sadly because there were not many other geldings, but regardless he was so much fun to show! Easy to work with, responsive, excellent manners in the ring, just a ton of fun! I don't...

Can I get critique on my mare?

I agree with most of whats been said. Gorgeous head, nice color and she appears to be fine-boned based on her legs. Hip is a little small but not bad, neck set and shoulder would be my biggest critique. I think her hip looks smaller too because she has a bigger belly due to probably being on...

    Questions on Floating and Sedation

My husband does equine dental work and he has separate tools for the minis and the large horses. He has a mini size and large horse speculum and does not use the power float tool as he thinks you have less control with the power float. He only sedates if it necessary and the owner wants...

    Is my foal a dwarf?

Agree with Matt, can't really tell from the angles. What is her mouth like? Can't really see her feet but they appear to be OK. Is she bow legged looking from the front? She is adorable though for sure! We had one last year that when I saw him, I said, "is that a dwarf"? But, he was just chunky...
