We know you're in favor of rescuing those horses. You were very helpful with my recent rescue (who arrived home this past evening), and I agree with harsher punishment. I can only imagine what these horses have been through and how much worse this situation would be by winter with the hay...

We do not use sawdust or shavings with our foals for that very reason. We have witnessed first hand, a foal suffocating on shavings. The necropsy showed that the lungs were full.....so we use only straw when we are foaling mares.
