We had our 4-H Achievement Fair in conjunction with out local fall fair.
Its basically five dayd of stress (the fun kind), showing and fun. I always love doing the fair because lots of people come through who have never petted a sheep, or a Miniature Horse or a bunny before. So its nice to share that sort of thing with them.
I had so much fun at this years fair. I felt badly for Spyder and Cinnabar though because the stalls we were provided were so small (only 5 x 6) that the horses could never stand in any part of their stall without being touched by people. By the end of the fair the horses were all pretty crabby.
Here are the pictures from this years fair.
This is Cinnabar and I in the 4-H unit I chose for this year, the obstacle course. Cinnabar was a bit afraid of the white bridge because our bridge at home is brown.
Cinnabar doing his sidepass
Cinnabar decided to jump the first "trotting" pole
Cinnabar doing his 360 degree turn in a very small box. He did not step out at all!
Cinnabar and I in 4-H showmanship.
Cinnbar doing his pivot
Me talking the the judge. Cinnabar kept trying to eat my gloves!
This is Cinnabar and I in the Open Light Horse Show. In this class I was showing in Open Showmanship. In a class of 12 BIG horses with both youth an adults.
