DH got our cat this telescoping cat toy. I always hated the dinky 18in ones everyone sells, I don't want to run around with it! But this is almost 5 foot long, so I can sit and play with the cat all over the living room.

Suddenly, I realized, it's perfect for horses!!
Lighter than any horse whip I've ever come across!!
Highly portable.
It collapses to 16 inches, expands with a light flick of the wrist to 56 inches, nearly 5 feet.
I'll have to get my gram scale to weigh it, as its far too light for my kitchen scale. Feels like nothing at all! And with my weak wrists, this is a godsend!
Anyway. Thought I'd share this little hack!
Having a little weight on the end makes it flick out to full length easy peasy. And can shrink with a little air tap downwards.
Not very threatening....
Can reach all over. Note the dainty hold I have on it. My thumbs are even weather these days, this left one moreso after my fall from the younger pony, seen under this pic.
Readily collapses when they press into it amd flexible. So, no issues with accidental jabs! Like this one right here into the soft nose skin.
