We have a FILLY! Born at 7:40am this morning. A pretty chestnut! Gotta get back out!

Mom and baby Briar are doing well. The placenta slipped out while they were both down resting. Four big piles of meconium. Nursing within two hours. Now she's tearing around the stall

Can't wait to turn them out tomorrow (I'll get LOTS of pics then

I am so glad to hear some minis go so long. I have been so paranoid about this foal. This mare had a palomino filly last yr at 327 days & it was dead. I always get colts & everyones telling me since this one is taking so long, it'll be a boy.

378 days today is a very long time to be on foal watch & I had shoulder surgery fri so I'm wondering if I rebreed this mare, will she carry this long the next time.

I also wander how many minis do this & are the foals ok????
