I mailed in a transfer Nov 30. Got it back Dec 12. Mailed in a new registration on Dec 2. Got it back today, Dec 15!

Wow! That's faster than I've ever gotten paperwork back! Now if AMHR would just get with it!

I'm so glad to hear that. I have a few transfers and such to do and the waiting (for them to come back) is usually the most painful part!!

So glad you got good service.

I mailed a new reg. into AMHA on 3 Sept. Waited until 20th of Oct to get my DNA kit,

When I asked about taking so long for the kit. I was told the papers had to be recorded in their system first.

I mailed the kit in on 24 Oct and am still waiting for my papers back on my filly. Now wondering if I will be able to show her in the AOTE class if I don't get it back before the end of the year.

I know, I sent in some paperwork to AMHA and got it back quickly. I sent my R stuff in the same day, and I'm still waiting. Odds are, when I get it, I'll have to send it back for corrections.

Aggravation Acres, you don't have to have the papers in your posession by Jan 1. She just has to be recorded in your name by Jan 1, which if she is now in the system, you are fine. You can call and confirm with AMHA to set your mind at ease.

I just hate calling them because they are so busy doing other things. I don't want to slow them down on getting their work done, when people on here can answer my questions.

I show mostly AMHR so I am still a little confused on AMHA rules.

I agree, back in the summer, I waited over 3 months for 2 amha registrations to be processed, and then I sent in a transfer to perm. 2 weeks ago and it was back Monday - great turnaround.

Rod & I just got back last night from a trip to OK and TX. We had been down a few times before, but this time since we were going right by the AMHA office, I wanted to stop in to drop a couple of things off.

The staff there is super friendly and it was so nice to put faces to the names that we see in the MHW or hear over the phone. They made us feel so welcome and gave us a royal tour of the whole office. We must have met pretty much everyone there!! I really felt that those with whom I spoke were very interested in what we thought about different aspects of the organization.

Betty told me that they were very relieved to be getting caught up on all the work, even with all the year end work coming in. She is very excited about the new venture - sample Miniature Horse World magazine to be used for promotions/marketing/public relations. I believe it will come about some time in the spring.

I think they (both the BOD and the office staff) have made great progress over the last couple of years in sorting out some of the previous issues that plagued the organization.

I would highly recommend that if anyone has the opportunity to be in the area, that you stop by. They are genuine caring people.

I also want to have the opportunity to visit the AMHR office at some point. We just don't get to be in the area very often, but this too will come about some day.
