So I showed 6 horses at the Mini-Rama AMHR show earlier this month. 4 of them were 3 and over. My friend also showed 2 horses both 3 and over. She got a card for one of her horses and not the other. We chalked it up as well...the other horse is registered in her and her mother's name..maybe that's why. Today I checked and I got 2 cards for my boys, but nothing for my mares. I know I'm listed as the owner for all of them so is there a logic to how they get sent out? Just curious as the Area show's coming up and it would be nice to save some more time not having to have the extra horses measured again.

If you have your pink slip from measuring you are all set for Area One. Youngsters are only measured every sixty days. If you haven't gotten your permanent cards by then have the steward remeasure those horses if your worried about it. Linda B

So what's the deal with permanent measurement cards anyway? I went to one AMHR show last year and got a pink measuring slip, then got a permanent card in the mail later. Now I'm preparing to go to my only AMHR show for this year and have no idea what to do with the thing. I'm a CDE girl!

:

I enclosed a photocopy of the card with my registration and entry and I believe I need to bring the real version to the show. Right? Then what?

Permanent cards need to be shown to the steward and the horse needs to be measured once each year. The height will then be put on the back of the card along with the signature of the steward. When entering any other show that year, you will need to make a copy of both sides of the card to send in with entries. Temp cards (pink paper) are good for 60 days and then when remeasured, the new measurement will be put on that same pink paper and a copy of this is sent in with your entries. All horses and ponies need to be measured at the national mini show and pony congress and another card is issued at that time that is just good for that show.

Hope this helps
