: Been watching poor Banner on the foaling cam for weekes and weeks and she's on day 363 and ready to pop!

Carl wants to know if it's common to go that long? Man couple more days and that's a full year! I looked on the Breeders Connect and don't see them on here, does anyone on here know them?

I see from their website they bought her bred so do they know for sure this her breeding date?

Just wondering if they commonly go a year.

I looked at their site (saw Banner) but didn't see a link for a foaling cam...can you give me the URL?

Edited: Nevermind! I read on her guestbook that Banner is being watched on Marestare.com :bgrin

Dont think its really commen but I"ve had them go over a year. They were all fine and healthy babies. Some mares just like making you miserable I think. Really nerve racking!!

I had a mare go 368 days a few years back.I was so concerned because the mare just kept getting bigger.I asked the vet about inducing labor and she assured me the mare would go when ready. She had it quite easily, but he was as big as a month old foal when born.He just cooked and did his growing inside his mom instead of out in the pasture. It sure can make you crazy while you are waiting. This Mini horse breeding business sure can be draining, but when I get a live healthy baby it is better than the best Christmas I ever had. Wendy of Chesapeake Minis is near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the eastern shore of Maryland.

Thanks just wondered, been watching a lot of them since we don't breed. We had three foals ourselves years ago,all colts:) And all Shetlands and all looking at us in the morning. No foaling cams, so this is all new to me and I feel like a nervous mother:)

Getting atached to little Banner and feel sorry for her, course her being a Buckskin is near and dear to my heart also. She is inder Chesapeake Minis on Marestare.com page..

thanks guys, and congratulations on ALL the perfect wonderful babies so far this year!
