I agree that we should not all jump to conclusions as not all of the facts are in.

And in regard to a 27 inch mini being too tall to be a dwarf? I've seen dwarf minis that tall and taller. It's the characteristics you look at, not the height.

Like I said, you all can use it but learn to read a MSDS sheet. Anything that lists that much harmful things that can happen if breathed in will NEVER be put near my horses.

Any company is gonna back there product like quest does theres.

But by putting the bad things on the MSDS they ARE saying it can happen.

I have never used or seen the product. The MSDS sheet is for Stall dry plus. Sounds like an odor preventative. The main ingrediant is DE. commonly used for pool filters also is used for filtering food and food ingrediants. The OSHA warning is a #1 "slight risk" for breathing. It would appear this product is an additive to bedding not a substitute for. I do not have the MSDS sheet handy for wood sawdust but am quite sure it has at least as stong or stronger warning as to health hazzards for humans.

It would be quite possible for any animal to have a severe reaction to any dust if inhaled in a large quantity by accident. A hand full not spread out well could be enough if the horses was sniffing it, sneezed and then inhale while still close to the product.

Hoping the horse in question fully recovers!
