I was wondering if anyone who uses AOL. For the past month or two i've been getting this message up on aol that says "aol has encountered a problem and has to close". I can still surf the net and read stuff, pictures just dont work. I've tried restarting my computer, restarting my aol ...but as soon as i get back on aol it will only see pictures for about 3 or 4 minutes before the message comes up. I normally dont close down aol ...i just keep on reading stuff. But its getting really annoyoing having to restard aol and then rush to the site where the picture was that i wanted to see and have not make it in time.

I called AOL, and all i did was get transfered around for about an hour. Got nothing done!

Is there anything i can do?

my best advice number one is get rid of aol!! man i could go on and on about how bad aol is LOL> second you probably have a virus

I have AOL and don't have a problem with it.

What do you have your security settings set at?

I hate aol, but i cannot get rid of it because of my email being on really important things. I just dont want to loose my email adress i have right now or some of the people i talk to on AOL messanger. If i didnt have either of those, aol would be gone by now. I still might get rid of it eventually though.

But how do i check my security settings? I went to settings but all it had was 'security question' which doesnt have much to do with this.

I also tried to download this virus scan and it was only a scan for the computer, not aol. Is that what i should use?

Thanks

reload your aol software and delete the one you have on your computer now.. you have either gotten a virus or you have deleted a file that you needed for aol to run right...

I finially gave up on AOL and am now using NetZero. I installed it and signed up for it. I just lost my patience with aol. Now i just have to call and get AOL cancelled.

NetZero really seems to be working nicely though

Thanks for the advice everyone!
