One of my new classic colts I beleive will stay way under the 38 in mark so I want to maybe register him as a mini also. How old do they have to be register as a mini? Thanks for the info.

I want to say three years old, i believe they also have to be meaured and confirmed by an amhr/aspc official as well.

3 years old (past actual third birthday), inspected by a judge and measured by a steward. The judge and the steward both need to sign the "AMHR Height Verification" form and you submit that, a copy of the ASPC registration papers, an AMHR registration application, and the required photos.

I just called the office again - I don't think you need an AMHR registration application (according to Nancy). The horse will simply be registered with its' ASPC name unless otherwise noted on the back of the photos. I could be wrong and be filling out all sorts of paperwork myself, but that was the "un"official word today.
