Hi all-

Usually I'm on the forum asking for prayers for Dawn (fortunately haven't needed them for anyone else), but now am asking for them for the #1 love of my life. My husband, Dave, is having surgery early Thursday for a ruptured disk and also his tail bone which is not in line. I'm sure all will be fine, but can't help but worry. He has been in so much pain for so long - just hope this will be the answer.

I know He will take care of Dave, but would sure appreciate the prayers of my "Forum Friends." You all certainly helped me with Dawn.

Thanks in advance,

Barbie

I will keep your dear hubby in my prayers for a quick and successful surgery and recovery. Best wishes.

I know the pain of discs and of course you have my prayers. I hope the surgery gives him relief.

If this last injection doesn't work.......I'm afraid I'll be looking at the same kind of thing.

I'll keep your husband in my prayers that everything works out.

Praying for your husband. I pray all goes well and this surgery is a huge help to him.

Prayers not only to Dave for a full recovery but also to you Barbie. The wait will seem like days to you. You take care of yourself too.

Good thoughts coming from this direction too. Hope his back surgery is as successful as mine was. That was one of the best things I ever did.

Prayers coming from a former patient! I had a ruptured disc and pieces that went into the canal that the nerves to my left leg went down. I had surgery in 97 to remove these chips and fuse the two vertibrae. They wanted to send me home on the second day but I couldnt bear wt even with the walker. I had to call my dr at home and the insurance company because I got stuck on the toilet and two people couldnt get me up. Dont let them discharge him too soon. It really took 4 days in the hosp before I could turn over and get out of a chair without help. I will say that when you heal from the surgery you do feel HUGEly better. I couldnt walk without a cane or walker for several weeks before and within 6 weeks after I was walking 2 miles on the tread mill! I do still have some problems but now it is in the other leg. They fused L3 and L4. I totally understand his pain.
