Thanks everyone! Mona was quick to point out to me that she is not a refined mare, reminds her of a Gypsy Vanner horse, but I look at her a having good bone and at all the right angles. We have a couple boys here that should be able to help her out in that department anyway

and I think it has spawned a barn name for her - she is going to be my little Gypsy.

It IS going to be a looooong 2 months Mona

but at least she will be here in time for the summer. I just may get her working in harness - would help her girlie figure!

She is sure going to stand out in my senior herd isn't she Kim?!

Only one very minimal visual pinto amongst them. Even Mack with all his 'colour' appears solid white but of course that means our baby herd is quite colourful!!!

Congratulations, i have seen that mare many times on the saleboard and thought man i wish she was in the US

I wouldn't have let it stop me if she was in the States Leeana! Why wouldn't you look at a horse from Canada? Ontario is not very far away from you and could in fact be cheaper to purchase and ship from than many of the States. It really isn't a big deal bringing them over the border - we've done it many times! You are missing out on some really good quality horses at good prices if you won't look this way

Looks like a lot coming over to the colour, colourful Mare Mona, Congratulations, too tall for my herd.

When I first started showing here in Ontario hardly any colour or geldings, now the multi colour class and gelding classes are huge.

I remember when you Lori, mostly owned WCMH

I can guarantee that I am NOT coming over to colour Mary

You can keep your pintos. It isn't this mare's colour that appeals to me. We are bound to have some colourful babies from her though that might appeal to you.

Its too bad Mary, that you don't get out to the sanctioned shows or you would have seen the MANY pintos from TerHoeks, Wills, MacDonald's, and a few other big farms here that have been showing for over 20 years now.

I still have some World Class registered horses for those that want excellent show quality horses but can't afford to spend the bigger dollars for the bigger registries.

I have always loved that mare.

I have been soooooooo tempted a few times. The only thing that has stopped me is the shipping. I have helped a few people ship to Ont and the bills on those horses were OUCH OUCH OUCH.

CONGRATS on a beautiful mare

Congratulations, Lori. She is a very beautiful mare.

Mona, her daughters are very nice too.

Actually Mona is right on the Manitoba border so she is almost as close to you as she is to me and can ship west fairly inexpensively. Ontario is one BIG province isn't it?! It is hard though for west to east shipping and vice versa - not so many people travel in that direction. It is a lot cheaper to go south to north and vice versa as there are regular, and therefore less expensive runs, travelling in that direction.

Congratualtions Lori-- she is lovely -- and will certainly stand out in your herd.

Our "wild" overo mare aslo stands out in ours as we had only solids before her-- now have a couple of pinto stallions though.

However, my Lacey throws very quiet, minimal color-- not what I was expecting from her at all. Last year's baby is colored quite like your "Mack". SO, who knows eh? Your "gypsy" is very pretty.

Congrats!! I have always loved that mare and drooled over her maaaaaaany times...good for you!!!!!! If you get tired of her...eh huh...send her my way

Mona is good to buy from - quality and service, what more could you want?!

Fire Dancer has already thrown some pretty fancy coloured foals but as long as she gives me ones that move nice and are built I will be thrilled which I think she stands a darned good chance of doing!

Thank you everyone!!!

Lori,

Congratulations - she is very pretty! Especially love her head.
