Belvidere IL Hometown Christmas Parade

My husband, myself and my Mother participated in the Belvidere IL Hometown Christmas parade on Saturday, December 6th. Was a great day with sunshine, very little breeze and around 38 degrees. We joined another group of mini people participating and they won the "Best Walking Unit" Award! Here are two photos of us. I'm driving my Mother's gelding and she's riding 'shotgun' (she drove some too). The other is my husband walking our 4 year old gelding. This horse's first parade and he was a good boy. Got petted by lots of children along the way! (photos by J. Kirk photography).

Thanks for posting! Really like your parade outfits.

I think this is the first year I havent' done a parade. But we plan to give rides at a school next week for the wee folk. I'll at least get to use the sleigh bells.
