Now that she's dried off and puffed up, she looks blue roan instead of black! Light hair inside her legs, plus there's lighter hair on her rump and flanks. These pix are a bit hard to tell, mama would NOT stand still outside at all!

She seems sweet and likes people. At least for now!

Sire is Elvis, a chestnut and dam is our Roan-N Out Blue daughter, Misty, who is a buckskin roan. So this filly should drive!

So far, no name but her barn name is Lizzy.
 
Pretty girl! Blue roans are usually born dark, but if you part the body hair, you can see the hair coming in lighter down by the skin. I had a Dark Bay roan filly once. She looked simply Bay when born, but I could see lighter hair down by her skin. When I clipped her the first time at just a month old....she looked like a totally different horse. She actually looked Blue roan, not Bay roan. Spittin' image of her dam.

Congradulations of such a cute little Lizzy. I'm sure you will be back in time with pics showing a completely different looking girl. lol!
