I just wanted to share with all of you some very big news. I am expecting my second child. My husband and I are very excited. Caleb will be exactly 2 when his baby brother/sister will be here. This baby is due the same time Caleb was actually due. He came three weeks early so let's hope this one waits.

There are no girl grandchildren only boys on both sides of our families so this should be very interesting!

That is so exciting!! When is the baby due?

My daughters are 2 years apart. I also gave my then 2 year old daughter a baby to take care of when I brought her newborn sister home. I think it helped diffuse any initial jealously.

I swear I had a feeling Kim was pregnant before she told me!!!! I'm so happy for her, Chris and Caleb (who may just be the world's best tempered baby!!!!).

Kim that is great~! Hope you get a girl then this time although brothers would be very close always.... My two girls are 2 years and 11 days apart. My first two were only 17 months apart so for a brief time I had 3 in diapers at night still!

Wonderful news!!!!!

Thank you all! I haven't been to the dr. yet, but there is a website you can go to and put in your information for due dates. It says July 11th. Caleb's due date was July 8th.

I think being close is a good thing. My brothers are very close in age. I am actually 5 and 7 years older then them so it was hard getting close when I was younger.

We went out Christmas shopping today and of course I had to look at the baby things. The girl clothes, etc. are sooooo cute! Boys are cute too, but not as cute as the girly stuff.

Jills right. Caleb is incredible. I know all parents feel the same about their kids.

That's if I'm not to huge!

Barnbum- I love that story. Rachael is one of my favorite names. My cousin's (might as well be my sister) name is Rachael.

Lyn- Three in diapers woweeee. I can't imagine.

I am so happy for you!!! This is great news and a perfect time for Caleb to have a baby sister or brother.

Congrats! It will be fun to have someone else on here pregnant at the same time as me!

I am so very happy for you expecting moms, babies are wonderful. As long as they are someone elses. So nice to spoil them, then send them home. But new babies will be fun watching grow up.

Good luck and happy eating.

Congratulations to you!!! Take lots of naps with Caleb you'll need them (and enjoy them)!

I remember rocking Oliver to sleep everynight when I was pg with Marshall wondering to myself how on earth could I love another little child as much as I love Him - well you can

and every 17 months we added another LOL Like Lyn twice I had 3 in diapers - I changed diapers for 1 -2 -3 -2-3-2-1 for 8 years straight - yep I miss it and sometimes wish we would have had 5 or 6

(Lucky for me they took out all my baby making stuff)

I will have to stick your logo on a bib ;)

Yes Jenn I thought the same thing. This is going to be fun.

My pregnancy with Caleb was so easy until the last 8 weeks it went crazy. I am considered a higher risk age so that probably caused a bunch of it. Now here I go again. Everyone tells me it will be different, but not my doctor. So I won't stress until the end. I was in the bed for 5 weeks because Caleb kept wanting to enter the world. They gave me drugs to stop the pregnancy that made me shake all the time. I couldn't even write thank you notes. LOL Then they gave me the dreaded steroid shots to strengthen his lungs. I tell you I don't know how athletes take them. They hurt and I mean HURT! No thank you! Caleb came three weeks early on the same day my sister in law went into labor. So there we were at the hospital together in rooms right next to each other both families(lots of people). She also had a boy. They were 40 minutes apart. Same doctor too! He was very busy. Both had problems so he was frantic. Her son was first and wasn't breathing. He got Gavin breathing and then back to me. Forceps, suction.... finally he came out. He had a broken clavicle, his face of course, looked like he was a boxer from all the work to get him out and the worst was the cord was around him and tied in a knot twice. Doctor told us he shouldn't have made it. He was a miracle. SO all that said. I am pregnant again and I feel the same. I just don't let things bother me until the time comes to worry which I will pray with this one that it won't be until this babies due date.

If Caleb had been born on time he would have been 10 or more lbs. He ended up being 7.1 lbs. at 3 weeks early. woweee!

jdomep- that's what I ask everyone who has more then one child. They all say the same. That yes the love is the same. I just look at Caleb and how well he plays with other children and I just know that he will be an incredible big brother.

Changing diapers for 8 years... wowweeeee! I would love the bib!

Marty- I think of you everytime with your boys. If I recall you were about the same age as me when you had your boys. I like to read about your days with them. It makes me think of what I have to come.

Barnbum- I am going to pm you about the book. I want to get one for myself and I might get one for a friend.

Thanks again everyone!

I've heard the second is usually better.

It's very much worth it.

I can remember being so scared when we brought Caleb home. We read the books like crazy. We were quite nervous. Never in my wildest dreams did I realize how much he would bring to us and how he is just so much fun. So now it's a different kind of anticipation.

I am very fortunate to have a husband who is 100% hands on. Most nights Caleb would fall asleep in his arms. I have lots of pictures of that.
