You still have time to enter! Please email Thom Bobick the show secretary to let him know you are entering late. Show is May 13th at the Franklin County Fairgrounds.

Im not too proud so Im gonna beg LOL. We are having a dismal turnout

I urge anyone that can come to enter and come have some fun. We had really hoped to turn this into a two day AMHR/ASPC show for next year but with low numbers there probably wont be a show at all if we cant get numbers up. This is a friendly group of people and I myself intend to have a blast so come on and join the fun! :aktion033:

I would go..but our horses aren't quite ready to show yet. Plus, we are going to a show here in Louisville the weekend after. And it is kind of a long drive. But, if someone needs help showing though, I may go!!

Kay, I really want to come, but one of our colts has a virus of some kind, ran a high fever for a week and developed ulcers on top of it. So, I don't feel right bringing any of our horses out in public until we are sure we won't pass it on. This colt got sick last Monday night, ran a fever of 105! Finally down to normal, but his tummy sure does hurt. I am hoping he survives this.

Jody im so sorry!!! must be some virus! sending prayers he gets better and no one else gets sick. I feel kinda bad as I did push to get this show put on this year and it seems now like it was not a good idea.

Im getting kinda worried about our AMHR show circuit. Every year attendance is down everywhere. Illinois is struggling to get people to shows and now apparently so is Ohio. I know everyone exclaims that AMHR nationals is huge but we all have to understand that you still need to support your local shows or there arent going to be near as many.

we already say the show in TN cancelled and Lennie is cutting the Illinois Circuit shows in half again next year (he already cut them this year too) and I have heard that the other Illinois shows arent doing well either. We really need to try to do our part to support our own Industry. Wether its illinois, tn, mo, whatever state you live in. I know people complain there arent enough shows but at this rate its going to be even less

I really hope there will be a good turn out! We have really worked hard to make this a great show and have nice prizes to raffle off (one of which is new clippers!). Not to mention the 50/50 drawing! And, hey, who can resist watching me make a fool of myself in the ring? LOL

If there are people not showing for specific reasons (ie gas prices, location, etc. etc.) if would really help if we knew why. If you aren't comfortable with posting reasons you can always PM KayKay or myself. I would really hate to see a low turn out turn things sour for next year.

Thank you

Fran

So sorry you are not getting a better turn out for your show.

(hope bumping this up will give others a chance to see it, I know some people don't come on very often so if you are a few pages back they will miss it.)

We are all ready committed to go the North Allegheny Horsemen's Association show at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Pa. (and it is only a 2 hour drive from our place, we limit ourselves to about 2 hours driving, because we don't have anyone to take care of our horses and don't like to be gone until midnight)

Your show sounds very nice. I really hope your get more people to show up so you can keep having your show.

Deb.

We feel it here in New England with our shows also. Not sure why people are not coming out to support.

I don't recognize that show by the Letters-- where is it located??

i know we can't make this one though-- just got home from Arkansas on Monday -- going to Lennie's next week-end to apprentice judge so am too tired now to head out again. I wish you all well, cause we need ALL the shows we can get-- and you know what-- if your horses aren't ready to the the "T" -- they will still be partly qualified & you have the summer to work on them -- Go & have fun if it is close enought o you to do so.

this show is in Hilliard Ohio right outside of columbus. And amy you bring up a great point. This is a somewhat early show so bring the horses! they do not have to be perfection. Come and have fun!

I just talked to another ohio show manager and they are really hurting too

we have to get out and support our industry!

Just a thought, but you may want to let your committee know that some people are not attending, because they have a long drive, too long for a one day show. Is it possible in the future to go to 2 days?

Also, I know of 2 folks who if they get a few horses finished clipped, they may just go over.

Is that possible at the last minute, but before beginning of show? Or do they need to call at some point?

we were going to try to do a 2 day show next year but with such low entries this year this will most likely be the last bmhc show. And yes they can bring horses at the last minute not a problem.
